What sort of spare bed should we buy?

We're moving next week yippee! And we want to buy a bed for guests to use. In the past we've bought air beds and a Z-bed but they are so uncomfortable. Not sure if I want to get a sofa bed as everyone I've ever slept on has been horrible. So what should we get? I've looked in the Argos catelogue and I'm wondering about one of those single beds with another single bed pull-out.

All advice welcome. Thanks

We tossed this one up when we moved too Wellsie, it does depend how much space you have.

When we measured up the standard double, it didn't actually take up masses more space than the standard single, and we knew a double would suit our usual guests better. Also we could use the storage space under the double, rather than just having a bed under a bed iyswim. But the room it is in is a very big room, so space wasn't a huge issue.

We have a double futon. Apparently it isn't very comfortable... But that means guests don't stay too long :O.

we bought a cheap single with a pull-out.
really regret not getting a decent one as it is sooo uncomfortable.the pull out bed base is very cheap.

Mind you we do have family stay for a couple of weeks at a time ,it may be ok for the odd night only

My friend bought one in M&S and her dd sleeps peacefully on it every night. They cost about £450 though.
