Seriously, he only has one small spot in the small of his back that isn't densely hairy. How strongly is this an inherited trait? Does anyone have experience of teenage boys making the werewolf transformation into very hairy men?

Remember some girls like hairy men.

My dad is disgustingly hairy, and ds (6) is very hairy all over, well at the moment its fine fair bumfluff

DH is hairy (although getting less so as he gets older) I'm not so sure about the teenage werewolf bit as photos of DH show distinctly hairy traits from about 9ish (but he is Cypriot so that's probably why) So far I think I can predict how the Dcs will turn out. ATM...

DS1(9) - definitely hairy, but he's lighter than DH so is covered with a blondy bumfluff legs, arms and back atm - it's long enough to pull if you're feeling mean. I expect he'll start shaving by 11 or 12 just like DH.

DS2(7) - takes after his cousins, so very dark but no body hair, which is unfair 'cos that should have gone to....

DD(3) - like DS1, but sadly very dark. As soon as she gets the family 'tache, monobrow and yeti legs I will be showing her what to do about it. I know it's what's inside that counts blah, blah, blah but I'm not going to let her get picked on at school by mean girls just for principle.

Thanks for your responses. My dss are dark, so hairs wouyld be v prominent. I'm not saying its a bad thing -- after all, I chose a hairy bloke! I just wondered how self-conscious they might feel. Ds1 is already quite hairy at 11, nothing freaky tho.
I also am quite hairy -- teased at school for hairy legs etc. I don't have any dds, so don't have to worry about the taboo on hairy women!

On the subject of hairiness, can I just ask a question that I'm too embarassed to ask in real life? Attending to one's bikini line: I always thought that was something that you only had to do if you wanted to ape the lifestyle of a minor celebrity. But as I look around the swimming pool and see the total absence of tell-tale bits of lady garden creeping from the sides of swimming costumes I wonder whether it has become somewhat obligatory, like shaving under arms. What do you think?
