Me.

Am pissed off with the coverage, tis doing my nut in. I watched one film at Christmas and that's because I'd eaten so many purple quality streets I couldn't reach the remote

ScottishMummy · 20/07/2007 21:20

there is so much excellentthought provoking literature that i don't need to read adolescent literature - so i dont

Kbear · 20/07/2007 21:23

Me, haven't read them or seen the films. Must be missing out because the world is raving about them but it's just not my thing.

Pixel · 20/07/2007 21:23

Dd got the first one and I tried to read it but no, just too dull. And I do normally love all the Lord of the Rings/fantasy type 'nonsense'.

SlightlyMadSpider · 20/07/2007 21:24

Me

(I have seen about 10 mins of one of hte films and that is about as far as my involvement with HP goes....)

SpacePuppy · 20/07/2007 21:27

Me. I think I saw one of the movies on a long haul flight, not my scene.

I've never read the books or have any intention of doing so...

I've never seen the films or have any intention of doing so...

I can't abide all that fantasy shite!!

donnie · 20/07/2007 21:37

me.

It's a big boring con!!!!

mummyto2littleprincess · 20/07/2007 21:38

i havent read any of them seen some of the 1st film and didnt like it at all

whomovedmychocolate · 20/07/2007 21:58

It would be wrong of me to insert spoilers into the other HP threads with the ending in wouldn't it?

Might be funny though

HappyMummyOfOne · 21/07/2007 08:42

not seen any of the films or read any of the books and i'm an avid reader - doesnt appeal in the slightest.

beansprout · 21/07/2007 08:43

Same here, the whole thing just leaves me cold. I don't do elves and stuff. Never seen the appeal of Lord of the Rings either.

Snaf · 21/07/2007 08:53

Me.

Never read an HP book, never seen an HP film and don't ever intend to do either.

Partly because I worked in bookshops when the whole HP-mania began and so was already bored rigid by it all several years ago. Partly because I have a natural aversion to mega-hype anyway.

And partly because there are enough beautifully written, engaging and important books out there that I've not got around to reading yet, so the thought of wasting time on poorly-edited wizardy gubbins seems ridiculous.

I must admit I do feel a shiver of irritation when I see adults reading the books on the tube. As for queuing for hours otside Waterstones? The words Life, A, Get always spring to mind...

Me - never bought, read or seen a film.

Have to confess to a slight prejudice as almost without fail people assumed that we had named ds1 for the wretched wizard as the fourth/fifth??? book came out around the time he was born.

However, we are resigned to the fact that he will probably read them in the near future but hoping no one will buy them until we can get him the seven part set in paperback form.

Pan · 21/07/2007 10:33

Exactly as snaf describes.

americantrish · 21/07/2007 10:59

i've not bought any of the books, dh bought one of them (never read it though) and we've seen the movies..(dh likes them, i go for the popcorn and snacks ;))

Mellin · 21/07/2007 11:35

Me.
I don't get it at all.

Spidermama · 21/07/2007 11:41

Anyway reading a book has always been a private experience between me and the book. Why this mass sharing and hysteria to buy the book the second it comes out.

Sheep. Vulnerable to mass marketting. Unattractive.

Also, get it the fuck out of my news bulletins. I want news, not adverts.

saadia · 21/07/2007 11:41

I haven't
