ds1 likes the crumbs from the bottom of the cereal box and both boys like the crust on pizza

DS is raving about soya at the moment.

He has spent the afternoon cuddling and cooing at what I thought were imaginary friends, just to realise he had been cuddling a full family of worms!

GryffindorGHOSTY · 20/07/2007 00:33

My children see sushi as a big treat ... as other children may see a trip to Macdonald's mine see a trip to the local sushi bar as take away heaven.

stealthsquiggle · 20/07/2007 00:58

Cucumber. Jump up and down exciting. Don't ask me why - it's always in the fridge!

Now stomping off cos v. jealous of Ghosty's local sushi bar - had we such a thing, I would have DS similarly trained.

My kids are easily bribed with free time for 15 mins on a Friday afternoon!! The child who has tried to do their best all week might just get a gummy sweet. Ahhhh all of my children are perfect little angels...but then again, I have 30 of them and they're all aged 10. I hope that when my baby comes along, it's as easily bribed as the kids in my class (there's a horrible part of me that thinks not!!)

And I'd appreciate any tips on getting my children to like soya, sushi or cucumber...but I'll pass on the worms thanks!

my dd2 uses dd1's 'rainbow fairy' chapter books as the children in her class - she is the teacher and they all sit round her.

My god the things those fairies get up to ! Ruby the Red Fairy is a right little trouble maker.

In a moment of desperation whilst trying to prune the roses, I handed dd1 (2.10) some kindergarten paper scissors and suggested she go away and cut the grass.

It was the highlight of her week.

keiralou · 20/07/2007 06:13

Califrau - my dd used to love getting the apple stickers from me or dh!!!

She now loves cutting the grass with her dad - she has a pretend lawn mower and walks up and down the garden with him - the highlight of her week!!

She loves taking her toy pushcahir anywhere we go...

She also really likes sorting out the dirty washing.

BTW, she's 2 and a half... is this normal behaviour?!?

sammac · 20/07/2007 06:18

Ds thinks that going over a bridge when we are driving(the big one near the Trafford Centre is his fav, and considering we're in Glasgow it is a treat!) Also seems to think that going a short cut is a big treat too! How easy I lie when driving!

PotterCandles · 20/07/2007 06:26

When I was toilet training ds1 he thought that tearing off a sheet of toilet paper was a mega-treat. Big saving on Smarties and raisins!

Dd will choose a cracker-for-cheese over a sweet biscuit any time, so great for guilt-free bribery.

And both of them will fight over the crumbs at the bottom of the cereal box . Though, TBH, I think dd only wants them because she copies almost anything ds1 does.

Mushrooms?!

And washing up!! (Dishwasher generation - It wasn't a treat in my day.......)
