Had a car accident this morning as this car and mine were going onto dual carriageway. She braked so i braked and hit her back of her car.

We pulled over. Exchange details - my full address and her name and number. She is not sure if she will claim but will get her uncle to check the car out later. We both argeed that there was no damage apart from a very slight and i mean slight scrath to her car and a slight mark to mine which i am not worried about.

Shall i call her or just pass the details to the insurance company. Have 3 yrs and no its not protected.

Do you really hope she is ok, 'cos I hope she chokes on her thousand quid or whatever she got, squeezed out of my insurance company by claiming 'whiplash'. One of her claims was that the 'accident' (ha!) affected her sex life. Oh really? Was she practising the karma sutra then?

jellyjelly · 18/07/2007 19:59

yes but only so i dont lose my no claim bonus.

Cornsilk, you shouldn't have been issued. It should have gone direct to your insurers as they act on your behalf. They're not supposed to issue you as you won't be handing the money over. Sounds like the insurance company the other woman was using were a bunch of half-wits.

FYI whiplash injuries are among the most common in the insurance industry. They're also the hardest to prove you have. Affected her sex life

Jelly you won't lose your no claims bonus unless she claims. If you have no claims protection then you won't lose it for one accident anyway.

They have to keep the claim open for i think 3 months they said. Bugger.

Don't worry about it jelly. I think I mentioned earlier down the thread that it has a 3 month time frame. After that it's void.

Do you have a no claims protection on your policy?

DameSnotAlot · 21/07/2007 08:27

Sorry to confuse you jelly...it's funkimummy here. Just got a bit bored of my other name!

cornsilk · 21/07/2007 08:47

Sorry for the rant jelly - I meant the other person in my case.
Of course I hope your other woman is Ok so you can forget about it!

jellyjelly · 21/07/2007 15:15
