i've taken my (mature) 7 year old to it. Absolutely not at all scared. We sat next to a woman with a child of no more than 4, possibly 3, and a 6-7 yo, and neither of them seemed in the least bit bothered. The young one was bored, not surprisingly, so from that point of view she was probably ill advised to take him but maybe she had no choice..
