And how old is DS?

lou33 · 07/09/2004 20:16

Could it have been posted into the dvd player, video player, or even replaced as the sky card by children (assuming you have any of these)?

earlygirl · 07/09/2004 20:22

ds is 2 nex week so its likely but hes not done this before only with a remote control and thats usually in his toy box
i do keep asking him but i dont think he knows and he doesnt talk so he cant tell me anything!
begining to think maybe it may be in the bin or something but im not giving up hope till saturday when ill have hecash to buy a new one
i did expect to find it today though

How about the bin? (This comes from someone who left their house keys on the changing mat at Cherwell valley service station, J10 M40, on Sunday only to find out when they were sitting on the drive frantically trying to find them in a monstrously huge handbag and DH's eyes burning a hole into me....)

earlygirl · 07/09/2004 20:32

if they fell in there theyre landfill now

HAve you looked under the car?

Lonelymum · 07/09/2004 20:47

I still say ds is most likely to be the one who had them last. Go through all his stuff before you despair.

Branster · 07/09/2004 21:14

could it have fallen off whilst you were entering the house? did you look around the front door, under a mat (if there is one) all over the drive? do you have pets? could they have taken it into their beds?. do you have any doors in the hallway you don't open frequently (like a cupboard) could it have slided underneath those?

jampot · 07/09/2004 21:18

is it in your bag earlygirl? How did you get to the wedding? If the car is open then could the key/card be in the car still. Is it in your purse (mixed up as a credit card)

Tickle · 07/09/2004 22:29

Couldn't find my passport once going on hols. Thought maybe ds had got hold of it, so ended up checking behind the headboard. Bingo.

If it is credit card shaped then he may have 'posted' it. Good luck!

Branster · 08/09/2004 15:43

have you found them yet??!!

earlygirl · 08/09/2004 16:01

no ive been really bad today ive been on here

I was going to recommend praying to St Anthony - always works for me (even contact lenses!)

throckenholt · 09/09/2004 13:58

down the back of a sofa ?

Try giving DS another card and see what he does with it ?

Crawl around at his height and see if you can spot any likely places ?

Stuck between the pages of a book ?

bambi06 · 09/09/2004 14:09

OP posts:
earlygirl · 09/09/2004 14:59

i would like to blame ds but there was only a short period of time when it went missing an he was in dps(half asleep) sight
more likely i have absent mindedly put it somewhere stupid
my (good) excuse is i was very tired thanks to one breastfeeding baby and one teething one

SoupDragon · 09/09/2004 15:36

Which side of the car was your bag? It's very easy to drop these keys between the front seats and the storage thingy and they're a b*gger to either see or get out.

wild · 10/09/2004 09:15

any luck yet earlygirl?

Lonelymum · 10/09/2004 09:17

Yes she found it. There is another thread about it.
