Hi! Am thinking of changing cars as I am fed upofall he looks and comments my 'Chelsea Tractor' is getting! DD currently travels around in a Bugaboo and I can throw that in the back of the carrally easilyBUT am thinking of something sportier and so will have to downsize the buggy. She is nearly 1 and so the 'back of the car' buggy could easily be a stroller but would appreciate any advice if anyone has found a really compact yet comfy model??

Surely just one of what I would term a "normal" one - "umbrella" folding?

Well done for giving up 4x4

This folds up nice and small.

I like this one, but it's a bit more money.

I drive a mini convertible (practical with a four month old baby I know! In my defence I ordered the car before I found out I was pregnant) and at the moment I have the M&P pliko pramette which I love but it takes up the whole back seat with ds in the front. So I have done some research and it seems that the quinny zapp is the smallest folding one and it folds small enough to fit into my boot (which is v small I can tell you!). The only thing is that its from 6mths so I havent got one yet so can't tell you if they are any good or not!

hi katy, i have the same problem. dh complains about the petrol my gas-guzzling chelsea tractor uses, so i kindly agreed to use his (small sports) car instead . But it has a tiny boot so I needed a tiny buggy, and got the zapp. It is fab, folds small enough to get it in the footwell of passenger seat, leaving "all" bootspace free. But note that it is not possible to change the seat position, and it is v upright, so i wouldn't recommend it for tiny babies.

were having this trouble,we have morris 1000.with tiny boot.i have zapp but am not keen.i want hauck infinity or loola but i know infinity wont go not sure about loola.so i think im stuck with zapp

mamimwnci · 27/06/2007 20:19

Hi, I wouldn't recommend a loola. Yes the frame folds down quite small but that is without the actual seat unit in it. With it all together it's quite bulky and heavy. Not impressed at all with the loola to use either - handles too wide, basket too small with a bar in the way underneath, terrible hood mechanism etc etc..! Not a fan incase u hadn't guessed!?!!

moljam · 27/06/2007 20:35

!does seat fold seperatly then??i think im stuck with zapp.it suits are needs but im not keen

mamimwnci · 27/06/2007 20:48

you can fold the whole thing with the seat unit in it, but like I say it's then bulky. Or you can unclick the seat unit out, which only takes a few seconds and put them both in your boot seperately, but honestly..why make life more difficult for yourself?! I resold my loola after around a month of buying it off ebay, and most of that time I used it with the car seat attatchment anyway. It advertises itself as the compact pushchair but believe me it's really not!!

moljam · 28/06/2007 16:19

thanks mamimwnci. sad because it looks good,so i suppose like those uncomfy shoes that look good but are horrid to wear.

katylui1 · 29/06/2007 14:14

Great advice - thanks ladies. I've looked at the zapp and it looks good, by my LO likes to lie down when she's tired. Anyone got the Mutsy spider? I am think of a mini convertable or a vw beetle convertable (I have no excuse about not knowing I'm pg as I already have 2 kids!! - Just fancy something girlier for a year or 2!!) Anyone fitting a buggy into these cars??
