this is a sore subject for me! ours werent called sea monkeys they were called triops. got them from argos. three hatched within a couple of days and then one of the two bigger ones went over a attacked the little one (apparently they do eat the younger ones) then another disapeared. "david" lasted approx. a week and then last night half his head swelled up and this morning when i asked my son how he was, he announced that david was asleep. hmmmmm yes, david was asleep, upside down, not moving, with a strange balloon like head. we buried david under our tree so he could go to "fish heaven" (apparently). ive got to admit, along with wondering what on earth i did wrong...i was growing rather fond of david. it said in the book that these things only live 30 days anyway. are they any different from sea monkeys or is it just kind of like a "brand name" for want of a better expression? i need to get some more!!
