I found that the dictionary entry for Grandfather in Scottish Gaelic is "[seanair] nm. g. -ar; pl.+ean, grandfather" does anyone have any idea how to pronounce it???

I think it's like shennar, but stand to be corrected

At an educated guess "shawna"

My pal is from Lewis and always refers to her grandfather as " My Shen".
This is what her DS will call her father also.

If it were Irish, it would be pronounced Shannar. Am pretty sure should be similar in Scots Gaelic.

checked wirh pal and she said shenner and shen. Sim to the irish but obv differing vowel usage
