Having had a prem baby , I am trying to help the special care unit whenever I can. They've asked to to provide them with a list of any national support groups, web based or phone nos. that might be useful to mums with small children , babies.

Obviously I'll put mumsnet on there but can anyone make any other suggestions. They can be anything from special needs through to toy suppliers! I've got a few ideas already :

Scope
Bliss
Hemihelp
RNIB
La Leche
Any suggestions gratefully received, no matter how specific they are to one child's particular needs.

Thanks in advance MABS

The Cleft Lip and Palate Assc.(CLAPA) helped us enormously when dds cleft palate was found ( 10 days after being born, losing weight rapidly!). Will leave details later when dds in bed! Is this the kind of thing you mean?

Whereabouts in the country are you. There is a series of local websites www.netmums.com which provides loads of support and info for mums in various local areas. Maybe there is one being set up near you.

MABS · 02/08/2002 12:18
