Leg and bikini wax - how long should it be before the hair grows back?

A bit embarrassing but here goes...

I had a leg wax and Brazilian wax recently before my holiday. (I usually shave and it was the first time I'd had a Brazilian.) It hurt nearly as badly as childbirth (and even bled a bit) but I thought it would be worth it to be hairfree throughout my holiday. The beautician told me it would be 3 to 4 weeks before the hair grew back.

My fanjo was very red and tender for a couple of days, followed by a couple of days where it looked more or less OK (though a bit bumpy) and then the stubble started growing back by 6. Same with my legs - stubble after a week.

So, was I just unlucky? Is it really normal to last 3-4 weeks after waxing before the hairs grow back?

The hairs that are growing will have already been there (just under the skin before the waxing - it takes months and months of waxing to get all the hairs.

The hairs that were waxed - will take 3-4 weeks - but lots of others lurk

Think you need to persevere with it. Or maybe go somewhere different? Been having legs and bikini waxed for over 10 years now. Last had it done before holiday (went away 22 May). Legs only just growing back - fanjo still OK!!

Well that explains it - I really don't think that I (or my wallet) could face months or years of it though. And it still itches like hell.

Shall probably go back to shaving/Immac.

The more you do it, the less frequent the hair will grow back.

Waxing also destroys many hair follicles over time, so you'll be less hairy overall after years of waxing .
