dd desperately needs a haircut... it's very fine and wispy and dh said she looked like she had a mullet!!!, it's gone way beyond any possibility of me cutting it (as usually i snip here and there) as i fear she needs a 'proper' tidying up!... what do you all do? does your average hairdresser on the high street cut children's hair...? how much?

if anyone lives in brum and knows where there is a child friendly hairdressers i'd be interested to know wherabout!

Is this a silly question? i fear it is!!!!

Only costs £5 where we are for DD to get her hair chopped. Only DH is so tight he does it himself when she is in the bath...poor love!
I used to buy her a chupa chup to keep her quiet and when the hairdresser needed her to turn her head I would move the lolly like a carrot on a stick!

DD used to insist of getting hers cut at a local place that cost - wait for it £26!! Was cut properly and has now grown into a perfect one length thick bob (hairdresser did say that regular cutting thickened up hair and made it grown better and seems to have worked!!) - luckily now she lets my hairdresser (who works in T&G but is a friend so does me at home) cut her hair for £5!! - Result!!

Don't know how old your DD is but where we lived previously my hairdresser cut DD's hair for free. She had her first cut at 3 months and the freebies were every 6 weeks until we moved when she was 2. if she's little and you've got a regular hairdresser it might be worth a shot.

she's 3 now and we pay about £5 every 8 weeks. In fairness she has thick longish hair so it takes about 20 mins to cut now so price seems pretty reasonable.

we pay £8.00 for a full head cut and £1.50 a fringe cut at our local salon
