But people wonder how you have got to your age and never eaten it.
Mines Mac and cheese!

Olives

AwdBovril · 30/09/2018 21:09

Hot dog. I just can't stand the idea of them. I quite like the veggie ones, or I did until I realised that I was intolerant to one of the ingredients.

I honestly can't think of any other "everyday" food I've not tried.

pugalugs90 · 30/09/2018 21:10

Prawns

Unescorted · 30/09/2018 21:14

Tripe

Makinglists · 30/09/2018 21:19

lamb, turkey, prawns, most fish except cod and offal. I've been veggie since I was 17 (32 years) - but never ate these foods before.

Marcipex · 30/09/2018 21:20

Tripe
Beef burgers
Frankfurters

MongerTruffle · 30/09/2018 21:23

Offal
Lamb/duck/goose etc
Prawns
A lot of cheeses
Black pudding
Olives

The idea of them disgusts me.

OuEstPierreLapin · 30/09/2018 21:57

Turkish delight. Memories of pink glowing stuff from 80s commercials.

imnottoofussed · 30/09/2018 22:00

Prawns, olives, cheese that's stronger than mild cheddar Confused, pepperoni, tripe, smoked fish, liver, chorizo, steak and kidney pie/pudding, black/white pudding, crab, scallops, mussels, gherkins, Branston pickle, piccalilli. Basically loads of shit Grin

Fevertree · 30/09/2018 22:01

Meat, I was brought up veggie.

purplepandas · 30/09/2018 22:06

A big Mac ( long term veggie since age 15).

Peachydream · 30/09/2018 22:08

Angel delight, smash, faggots out of a tin, findus pancake things. I was in my late 20s before I ever had a pot noodle, packet savoury rice or a KFC.

DP is a child of the 70s and thinks it's hilarious. I am a real foody & very adventurous but never had reason to eat the things above.

User1983 · 30/09/2018 22:08

Am I the only one shocked by the replies? Does curiosity not get the better of you?

Dychmygol · 30/09/2018 22:26

Offal or subsequent products (including Pate, Faggots, Black Pudding etc)
Shellfish
Any fish other than Cod (that was enough to put me off eating anything from water)

There's a fair few veg that I'll never eat again (cabbage I'm looking at you!) but I have tried almost all vegetables and pulses. I'm not keen on meat but have tried a reasonable variety...enough to know that most meats aren't for me and that offal really isn't for me.

On general though I trust my nose. If it smells wrong it's almost certainly going to taste wrong. That's basic science for me and it's not been wrong yet.

pippop1317 · 01/10/2018 06:46

Just the thought of some foods curls my toes. And I have no idea why. Especially when I do not know what it tastes like.
I have never eaten a kebab 🤢

afishnotabird · 01/10/2018 06:51

Pears, they intimidate me somehow. Asda had them pre sliced in small bags and I decided to try and ease myself in that way, but I’ve never seen those since 🤷🏻‍♀️

confusedandemployed · 01/10/2018 06:51

Mushy peas. They just look so completely disgusting 🤢
Apart from that there's very little I have tried or indeed, don't like.

sittingonacornflake · 01/10/2018 06:53

Surely tripe is no longer an everyday food?!

NicoAndTheNiners · 01/10/2018 06:53

Baked beans. Also mushy peas.

Betsy86 · 01/10/2018 06:58

Mine is prawns and blue cheeses just cant bring myself to try them.
On a less adventurous note my friends 32 and has never tried custard....

TroysMammy · 01/10/2018 07:03

KFC. Never stepped in one either.

I know it's not every day food but oysters and mussels.

Undercoverbanana · 01/10/2018 07:05

Coffee - I can’t go near it - the smell makes me heave.

PetuliaBlavatsky · 01/10/2018 07:09

I try to try most things because there's a huge amount of food I didn't like as a child but discover I like as an adult - garlic bread, pizza, olives, broccoli etc etc. I tried pepperoni and bacon for the first time a few years ago and like those too.
I've still never tried marmalade or things like Branston pickle. And have also never had KFC or been to a Nando's

Nakedavenger74 · 01/10/2018 07:09

Nandos
Oysters. Nope.

Weepingwillows12 · 01/10/2018 09:33

My great aunt had never eaten pasta. That amazed me as a kid. She just ate mostly home grown simple stuff. No curries, Chinese, etc.
