Thank you for sharing. You must be such a strong family.

Will pass link on to friends via email for sure. Have always been on donor list when living in UK. Sadly I have still to come across a similar system where I live now. I guess the logistics are not in place for it yet .

Sending you good vibes for some good news soon.

Rubyslippers · 29/05/2007 10:22

talcy did you get him to remove them.

i am still debating on getting them frozen off (mum says very sore when she had hers done) or getting them tied off.

talcy0 · 29/05/2007 10:47

He did get them removed about 8 years ago, misdee, it did hurt though! They have grown back, mainly around his upper thighs.

I now have one under right boob...that'll teach me!.

misdee · 29/05/2007 10:51

i have never had a boob one [sniggers]

talcy0 · 29/05/2007 10:53

VeniVidiVickiQV · 29/05/2007 21:40

Thanks Ma.

macmama73 · 29/05/2007 21:42

Very moving. Am already on the donor list in UK, but will sign up now in Germany where we are living at present.

Hope that your DH check up went well.

MaPickle · 29/05/2007 21:55

It really is a bloody long time. Something to do with his tissue type ... Luckily it was his kidneys rather than anything else and he could have dialysis.

TyrannosaurusRex · 29/05/2007 22:04

a donor card cake would probably get you more coverage in the local press, misdee. (if you can be arsed, that is, what with your existing commitments to your children, husband, blog and buying buggies... ) it's aitch, btw. thinking of you and the family...
