Would you ever try to cut down the amount of fruit a 6 year old eats?

no I'm not boasting, but he seriously IMHO eats too much

they have a fruit snack at school .. since supper he's had 3/4 mango, large bunch grapes, 4 apples, 2 pears and a banana (from 5.40 to 7.30)

he doesn't have stomach problems .. would you try to cut it down?

I would've been ecstatic if either of mine had eaten any fruit at all when growing up! But how can an adult eat all that in one go, let alone a child? I salute him!

I wouldn't try and cut it down but I would try and offer alternatives like bread/carrot sticks and hummus or rice cakes and cheese etc.

TBH I am a bit . I would have tummy ache if I did that. Need to work on my two and their fruit consumption, obviously. They are both great veg eaters but a bit hit and miss with fruit.

There might be a problem if the fruit eating is spread throughout the evening, because that would be constant sugar on the teeth.

My cousin's DD grazed on fruit the whole time I was there on a visit and I got so worried about her teeth I eventually voiced my concerns. Her Mum said it had never occurred to her it would be bad for her teeth!

Our dentist advises fruit juice at one meal only and milk at the others for the same reason.

in our house its water and milk. ds doesn't really like fruit - he prefers carrot sticks!!

are there any other vegetables that can be eaten raw?
