suzywong · 06/05/2007 11:21

Acutally I say we but dh has all the vinyl at his studio. Bastard.

Funniest joke I've heard in ages was on Radio 4 a couple of months ago. A daughter was asked to give an account of Cooldplay to her father:

"There are many evil people in the world," she said, "and all of them like Coldplay."

Clocks was very good - they were just hyped too much and wanted to be Radiohead - something that will never be. They are just bland - like the new Lois Lane (but not the new Superman, phworr)

suzywong · 06/05/2007 11:29

ahem
that's not my name, summerfruit

I mean wet, wimpy, wet blankets, couldn't find their arse with a map - however at the session they had turned up for at the studio, and this was just before their first single came out ALL the techies gave them respect and said they were going to be HUGE.
Didn't the manc guru behind Oasis call it "music for bedwetters"?

No Offence

erm all sorts of music really, rock, reggae, world, electronic

in rock nobody has rivalled pixies since - who came along at a time where rock was not that interesting. I may get shot down for this but i think nirvana were a bit over-rated, and kurt admitted he was only trying to copy the pixies in the song that brought their success. Britpop was super-dull I thought. Only in the last few years had rock revived.

suzywong · 06/05/2007 11:34

anyway, summerfruit, it was very nice of you to start a thread with such good intentions

monkeytrousers · 06/05/2007 11:34

and Travis - bland.

aDad · 06/05/2007 11:35

has rock revived
