We found out yesterday we are going to be moving in abut a month, 've woken up this morning feeling very excited but also worried about how i'm going to find time to pack etc (dp is expecting me to get a weekend job because my business isnt going so well at the moment) but I can't pack in the week because he's at work and i've got my own children plus mindees from 11.30am to 6pm mon to fri. what to do

Also where you you all getting your boxes from?

What are your worries, anything you wanna share?

My house is HA, all I can say is im glad that we dont have the added stress of buying and selling our house, I think I would of had a nervous breakdown by now.

We are going from a 3 bed to a 4 bed with a dining room, been waiting about 6 years for a bigger house.

Anyone else notice things going missing? even though you can swear black is blue you havent packed them, I lost my digital camera, I was convinced someone had come in and took it, then found it on the fridge freezer

My youngest has suffered the most, we seem to have lost one of his boots and one of his trainers, all we could find a pair of is his sandals and its been cold the last couple of days oh the shame socks and sandals

was about to start my own thread then found this.

anyone moved 4 weeks before their baby is due and having a home birth?! i'll have to give birth on the roof, also need to meet people in the new area and get to know them well enough to assk someone to be at the birth and have children for me!

or there may just be room on top of the cooker to give birth!

we are moving on monday. I have just started packing, but with 3 kids to look after and dh at work, its very difficult! Think i am more worried about cleaning the house from top to bottom!

Hi I am going to be moving again soon my DH just accepted a new job so I can go back to birmingham I am excited about going home less excited about the 10th move in 12 years but he has promised me I can stay in birmingham and he will stay at this job !!!

Forget that Poppy. Have paid someone to pack and move us in and am going to call a cleaning firm today about going in on the morning of the move to do a cleaning blitz. DS was going to go and stay at his grandparents but now I'm going to leave him in his old nursery for a couple of extra days and his grandad is going to come down to help. Spent yesterday buying new stuff for new house - sofa, bathroom cabinet etc. Even got excited about buying new toilet brush! Sniff - 10 moves in 12 years sounds horrific. We're going to stay in this house for at least three years.

ooh you lucky thing! No cleaner for me. will be cleaning up dried up weetabix and old raisins all week.

Just couldn't face it. I work full-time and have enough to do without the whole packing, cleaning shenanigans.
