Is life better if everyone behaves themselves all of the time?

Inspired by the 'doubting paternity' thread (and a few glasses of wine) is life better if we all behave ourslves? If I had behaved myself I woudln't have my daughter. I can't help feeling all these paternity doubts are all part of life's rich tapestry whilst knowing them to have caused hurt. But I'm drawn to the romantic argument. Are there benefits, positive side effect to people misbehaving or am I just a drunken ol' fool?

I think there are benefits - life would be dull if we didn't make mistakes now and again!

I've had no wine yet (still waiting for Dh to finish bedtime stories) so I think we should all behave ourselves all of the time

I am very much a ... that what doesn't break you, makes you stronger ,kind of a thought train girl.
If I had not been drunk... I would not have met my ds's dad and miraculously found him attractive and conceived my son... It all worked out as basically I am a practical chick. I am glad I did all the wonky stuff, as now when I have chosen to settle down at 33, I know for sure, that this is really what I want!
DH has however, never badly behaved!

when im old and grey i would like to think ive had my fun when i look back. as long as i dont do anything to hurt others then im happy to be naughty. i make mistakes but i dont do regret. i like to think its all for a reason.

Agree, behaving all the time is boring...

I think there is such a thing as 'harmless misbehaving' and 'harmful misbehaving'. I'm all for 'harmless misbehaving'.
