If so, does this make sense?

"Boulanger depuis nouvellement, passioné depuis toujours?

Thanks!

Became a baker recently, but has always been passionate.

Oh, sorry, does it make sense ... not sure about 'depuis nouvellement'. That doesn't sound right to me, but hopefully an actual French speaker will come along to tell you?

Stargazing · 29/03/2007 20:20

yeah, it's the depuis nouvellement that's bugging me too - I read it in a baker's window in Paris and can remember the meaning but not the French, if you get me - so I am trying to cobble it together from my school French, which is like being on an archaeological dig!

its not quite right is it?

thirtysomething · 29/03/2007 20:26

I would say "depuis peu" - not sure "nouvellement sounds right in that context

Stargazing · 29/03/2007 20:27

how about recentment or however you spell it?

OP posts:
berolina · 29/03/2007 20:28

It must mean 'recently' - nothing else makes any sense.

It's so annoying, my MiL has a french exchange student staying at the mo, so all it would take would be a simple phone call - but I'll be dmned if I am going to speak to my MiL, she was such a btch to me on the w'end!!!
