Need advice ASAP. Have 2 weeks till I'm homeless with my 6yo sons

2 months ago I received my section 21 from the landlord (not renewing my tenancy). They are selling up. I've lived here with my son for 5 years so am upset to say goodbye to our home but at the same time looking forward to a new beggining.

Now the problem. I literally have 14 days to find another property. I work but only part time because I have my son. This means part dss. Every estate agent I call shuts me down at the mention of DSS. It doesn't matter that in 5 years I have never once been late with my rent or any other bill. I actually feel victimised for being a single parent. The council won't help much because I work. They will send me to a hostel 100 miles away. Me and my son will be living in my car at this rate.

Does anyone have any advice to help? Please I'm begging you xx

Are you leaving on expiry of the notice? If so you need to be clear that this will not give you issues with the council. Some take the position that if you leave prior to bailiffs you may be making yourself intentionally homeless. So speak to your housing office. There must be more than one person who works there.

But the council won't help u as a homeless priority until the bailiffs have been and evicted you, so they might not of been any help so far, but they up a few gears when ur on the door step with no where to go

Try Openrent they are all private landlords

Does your hb get paid to you or direct to ll? If it's to you, don't tell them you're getting it. Would your wages cover your rent?

Almost all councils insist you wait to the bailiffs, which are months away. Please clarify this urgently.

Advice not to tell new landlord you get HB is really bad and will quite possibly get you evicted again.

I wouldn't leave at the end of the 2 months and then the landlord will have to get a court order to evict you which will take time again. In the meantime you continue looking for somewhere to move to

And do you mean clique in your snippy earlier post?
