Do your nipples show through?!

Sorry, odd question I know! But I bought some new bras last weekend and one of them is a bit flimsy and my nipples show thru
I said to DH that I must remember not to wear that one with a flimsy white blouse or everyone would see my nipples. DH, the most conservative man I know, shrugged and said you see womens nipples thru their tops all the time

Eh? Do you? I don't think I do and I certainly don't show them!!!

Have I missed this phenomenon or is DH a lech with a vivid imagination?

He probably means when they stick through? I'm sure he's not a lech, he's just a man poor thing and can't help himself! It's amazing what their eyes are drawn to that normal people (women) never notice!

PSML ! Does he mean the actuaL colour etc of the nipple or just the shape IYSWIM ? I ask because I have very perky nips which are often a little too visible

You could always try those nipple daisy things from LaSenza, like corn plasters for your nippular modesty (no idea if 'nippular' is a word!)

Mine were never perky before bf-ing. having said that, it's nice to be able to use the word "perky" about my post-children breasts in some way.

Back to the original question, I assume he means the shape is visible rather than the colour.

Which brings me onto something I saw in Ann Summers today - fake nipples!! I think they're for sticking over the top of "enhancements" in your bra so they look real - some people clearly like the Visible Nip look!.

no, not in the perky sense (though I should have half a dozen fits if mine perked out, IYSWIM!)
Literally the colour of the nipple showing thru, so if you have a lacy bra on and a silky white top, the colour of your nipples would show thru the lace and silk!
I always wanted pale pink nipples so this couldn't happen. I do not have pale pink nipples and presumably neither do the female staff at DH's workplace and surrounding area!!!

I hate nude underwear, it's always in the same 'surgical appliance beige' - ick. The very same colour as my Nanna's false leg, in fact (sorry, Nanna !)

I thought those fake perky nips were just made up for Sex and the City! It's a CURSE, who'd buy them! I've resorted to wearing breastfeeding pads in the past to hide the perkiness.

no way am I having a bra in the same colour as NdeP's grannys leg!
Oh I did Soupy, but he got all indignant about how these nipples were generally unavoidable and were all over the office and town centre
As he is 6 ft 5, its easy to see how he is eye to nipple height
But to my original query, no one has said yes, my nipples are loud and proud! So am assuming these women are blissfully unaware of the display

Lisa, I'll have a look in the mirror tomorrow and let you know. I'm wearing a T Shirt bra today so no nipples are on display. Not even fake ones (am beginning to wish I'd bought some for the bride-to-be!)
