It's too hot

But surprisingly rail-network has not ground to a halt on buckled wheels, there is not mass frenzy in the street and there are no Breakfast TV reporters covering attempts to fry eggs on pavements.

S'farkin hot though

Hello sarah, how's things in Phuket?

cod what questions? clothes?
Well today I am wearing a 50s style summer dress I bought for 10 dollars and cut the hem up to above the knee and I feel like Samantha from an early episode of Bewitched.

Grrrr, Califrau!!

Yes, am in the windy city. It's cold

eidsvold · 06/03/2007 01:27

wongster - try that with high humidity and 36 weeks pregnant then you will know you are alive - or not!!

My two go from hyper to lethargic and demanding attention every two seconds when all I want to do is wipe my sweaty brow and collapse in a heap.

now sweat under norks even though they are almost reaching bump now - medicated powder helps with that.

dds run about in knickers all day when they are home. Wish I could but it would scare the neighbours

Me - crop top and huge shorts to fit over bump....... however must take care when ironing or will over iron shirt and hit bump with iron leaving bright red line on belly [owww]

Ivor · 06/03/2007 01:37

I think I'm on the same lattitude as you Mamama, ooohhhh it's been chilly this winter, must of been the coldest I've ever known -20c without the wind chill.
Look on the bright side, soon be spring the Ground Hog said so

mamama · 06/03/2007 01:49

Ooo, did it Ivor? I missed the whole groundhog day thing. That's good news! Where are you?

Ivor · 06/03/2007 01:51

Other side of lake Michigan in the nice bit next to Detroit

mamama · 06/03/2007 01:54

Is it frozen where you are?

Ivor · 06/03/2007 02:02

Absolutly, we had freezing drizzle at the weekend, yulk.
Snow is starting to receed, not that we've had much this year.
Looking forward to the spring before it gets too hot never happy!

mamama · 06/03/2007 02:07

Yes, not much snow this year but it's been very cold, hasn't it... Roll on spring (all 2 weeks of it)

Egypt · 06/03/2007 02:09

it's been 29 (which is only 84 F) degrees here and I am 11 days overdue

if it was 103 I think I would probably just lie down and die. sympathies Eidsvold!

sunnywong · 06/03/2007 05:01

sympathies to all you sweaty norked pregnant lasses, do stop dragging it out MrsJC, there's a dear.
I was 38wks with ds2 when it 100 degrees in London in 2003. I was rather short tempered all day as I recall.
106 today

ooo gawd mrsjc
dd was 11 days overdue. pleeeeeeease dont let the next one be. is that the general rule?
sending contractual vibes

eidsvold · 06/03/2007 08:40

mrs JC it was cooler today - like you 20 degress but cloudy and humid. I don't mine the heat but I can't stand the humidity - that seems to do me in.

eidsvold · 06/03/2007 08:42

Oh sunny - remember that summer - dd1's first real summer. She was born August 2002 but by the time she was out of hospital then back in for heart surgery - it was Oct before we really got her home and the weather had turned. So I remember 2003 summer well.

Littlefish · 06/03/2007 08:46

Oh poor your Mrs JC - I hadn't seen you around for a couple of days, so I presumed things must finally be progressing. Are you booked in to be induced?

eidsvold · 06/03/2007 08:55

thankfully I know it will be all over on 23rd Mar if not earlier.

MrsJohnCusack · 06/03/2007 09:03

yes, on Thursday littlefish.
pah

NomDePlume · 06/03/2007 11:53

serves you right for always crowing on about how simply glorious it is over there when we are all lost in a fug of grey drizzle.

Incidentally, it is a beautiful, clear, crisp, sunny and mild day here.

sunnywong · 06/03/2007 11:55

I bet it is simply lush in the Malverns right now
