d) 10 + (please justify - like if you are a centipeed?)

Does not include, wellies, slippers or rubber flip flops! Cause they are not realy shoes!

I think the reason women often end up with so many pairs of shoes is that they are so forgiving, it doesn't matter so much if you put on weight etc. so it's easy to cheer yourself up at the end of an unsuccessful shopping trip with a lovely pair of shoes...

on this note, I am probably generally c) but have definitely been d) in the past (when I was earning lots more money)

a. But my current ones are destined for the bin They are worn through on the bottoms, stones are getting stuck in the gaps where the holes are and water gets in resulting in very soggy feet.

southeastastra · 04/03/2007 21:51

she's staying up to 3am i think tonight to buy some more

oranges · 04/03/2007 21:52

b) after years of being an a). I'd do more if I could afford it.

skirmish · 04/03/2007 21:58

that reminds me southeast...i am owed a pair of jimmys/manholos from dh for passing my driving test...must bring that up, it's been over a year!

crunchie · 04/03/2007 22:19

Now I couldn't justify really expensive shoes, my most expensive have benn boots at around £80 - £100 and shoes I think about £70. (for my red dorothey shoes, BUT I had been looking for them for years)

I do buy a LOT in office when teh sales are on, most of mione were £25 or under last year I got my red peep toe sude ones for £11.25 It would be rude not to buy them at that price

ScoobyDooooo · 04/03/2007 22:25

D - I have brought 2 pairs of shoes & 1 pair of boots since january

I love shoes, enjoy buying them & don't see the harm (apart from the bank balance i suppose) I also have the same habit for bags i just can't help myself i luurve shoes & bags!

kickassangel · 04/03/2007 22:51

a) 1-2 pairs (though more likely to be one).

I own three pairs of shoes - ankle boots, trainers and knee high boots. This sufficiently covers all my shoe needs. I buy a new pair when one of the others has worn out.

Ds owns one pair and some wellies (though is only 2, so will probably own more later).

Dp owns 2 pairs - his work shoes and his garden shoes.

New shoes are bought when old ones wear out. Or possibly if we discover a sudden need for a certain type of shoe (if we decided to go mountineering or something which isn't very likely nowadays).

I hate buying shoes or clothes.

BassMama · 10/03/2007 01:14

I have over 60 pairs of shoes.

I LOVE shoes. I buy about 2 or 3 pairs a week and throw old ones out (or often give them to friends)

Shoes are amazing. I love shoes...

a for me...

I am a shoe miser

peegeeweegee · 10/03/2007 10:51

Ah, it varies for me...

Last year I bought myself 3 new pairs of DM sandals (red, black and brown to go with all my summer skirts/trousers). But as they are DM's they will last for ages, so won't buy any this year...

Bought myself some purple DM long zip up winterboots last year, have worn them all of this winter and will wear them all of next winter.

So last year I was a c, but this year I will be buying none...
