help!...im concerned about a friend of mine as she nearly died yesterday morning :-(

as her sister sent me a text last night whilst i was putting my dd into bed. its stated

"This is XXXXXX's sister XXXXXX. Letting you know XXXXXX nearly died this morning. She took an overdose of paracetomol. I found her asleep in bed (yesterday morning). Ambulance took her to hospital. She is in ward now. On a drip. Very lucky"

What do u think of this???? as a few times ive rcvd a few texts saying that she wanted to kill herself etc etc and the day she say that everything is fine. She is going thru a hard time atm as she had divorced her hubby of 6 yrs this month, her new Fiance is a knobhead! as they've met a year ago and already she had been to court with him twice over him fighting with other men, he had done time - 5 yrs, a year ago she lost her unborn twins she was 9 weeks pg and her mum nearly died a month ago as she had a hip op and she didnt wake up for ages

What do i do? as she is not a truthful person as always tells lies about 90% of everything

I would probably assume it to be true unless I had definate proof otherwise.

Could you try ringing the hospital - and give both possible sir names?

Do you have any friends in common you could contact?

yes i do have her other best friend phone no as just remembered

I would ring her then. If it's not true then at least you know and can make a decision as to whether you want to carry on the friendship.

Sounds like she has problems one way or another though, and the more friends that know that the better, I think.

as i was in the middle of texting my friend who is deaf as she cannot hear on the phone at all.....my friend had just texted me "im home hun x"

oh dear....yes it is true as the other friend is with her right now and having some talks with her now

Oh dear, seems almost like a cry for help. I guess you just need to be there for her realy.

a very good friend of mine ded from a paracetamol overdose. so yes it is possible, and no it doesn't take days.

i also know of someone who died after taking 8. it all depends on the individual.

i'm sorry to hear about your friend biglips, and hope that she makes a full recovery and gets the help she needs now
