Morning zombie checking in from very dark Cleethorpes to let you know you were my first thought this morning.

Mornin' all. Still above 0°C here in ArseEnd of Forrin - rural Germany. First time in weeks it hasn't been snowing/ice-ing/freezing.

Have just been out on the balcony to 'smell the day' (family habit) & it smells of rain (!) & woodland. Took great lungs full of air.

Glad you're feeling better Fid.

I'm girding my loins for the next 2 days. I'm a creature of habit and I get quite anxious when I have to face new challenges/situations.

For the next 2 days I have to travel to the other side of my home town to join several other strangers for ICT training.

My place of work is replacing the ICT operating system so I need to travel to meet up with strangers colleagues from other offices and learn the ropes.

Roll on tomorrow night when it's over and I can slip back into my comfy niche of everyday routine.

On the plus side I may be able to log in to MN during breaktime to see if there are any Zombie updates.

After a lengthy MN hiatus I'm just tiptoeing in to send love to Zombie, and thank her the for personal support and good humour she shared with me. She has touched so many.

It's very foggy here in South Northants and I'm not particularly looking forward to having to drive DD1 to school in it. At least the car won't need de-icing!

Thinking of Zombie and her family today, and also all of those in the Phalanx who have busy/difficult days today.

I saw biscuitsandbandages mentioned earlier - I remember her threads so well. I think of her too. I hope when Zombie flies free that biscuits is amongst those to welcome her with the secret mumsnet handshake
