I always thought they were a bit lame, and for swinging couples ..... but

last night went to stay with some friends who have one and they asked us to bring our bathers (which we were a bit dubious about) but after sitting in there at midnight sipping wine I am now plaguing dh to buy us one (it will have to go on the mortgage

am I turning into an arse or are they acceptable

we were going to move to a house that had one but it was indoors so none of that dashing about in the freezing cold nonsense.

NappiesGalore · 25/02/2007 17:09

oh nappyaddict, the freezing cold outside is the point. its fun in the summer, but much more so in the winter!

JJ - that Safespace looks brilliant! i want one for me!

We've had one for about 5 years. They need a lot of maintenance. Water should be changed every 3 months or more if used a lot.

We have a Hot Spring Landmark but I don't think it is a current model.

We never use ours in cold weather -one of their selling points. Who wants to go outside in the freezing cold?

Anyone want to buy it?

So pleased you don't intend to shit in your own tub MB, in that case I'll come over for a non-swinging evening too

I LOVE it when staying with friends with one

But the showering afterwards is a hassle

But you can have GREAT dinner parties because there is nothing like lying in a jacuzzi of an evening with a glass of vino

llareggub · 25/02/2007 19:54

We've had one for a couple of years. We bought it after we realised we only visited the gym to use the outdoor jacuzzi.

My favourite time to use the tub is during the coldest winter months. I love being in the tub then and usually get out because I get too hot. During the summer we turn the temperature right down and use it on hot days to cool off.

Maintenance is a PITA thought. I leave that to my husband though.

It's great for relaxing, entertaining and reading books.

ditto llareggub - its freezing outside, but roasting in the tub. laying there gazing up at the stars with clouds of steam rising up into the night sky and a big glass of something... ahhhhh.

I really like them
Some of my family have them and we'd have one too but the backyard is too small and there's no side access so the tub would have to be craned in!
