Anyone know re the above. Ive bought one from argos as had visions of melted chocolate with marshmallows etc. However it comes with no instructions and our first attempt burnt the chocolate. How do I use it? Do I just put the chocolate in the container?
Thanks

You need to melt the chocolate with double cream or milk to stop it burning. If you look at the BBC food website there are several fondue recipes, chocolate & savoury.

Ok i love a good chocoate fondue but im afraid my recipie is a little off the top of my head...
Chocolate, white dark or milk.. your choice...
Double cream... i like the thick one from tescos
about a cup full start with less and add more...
i add a bit of either honey or golden syrup as it makes it a bit stickier..
a little bit of coffe granules goes well
chop up fruit (strawbs, apple, pear, melon, pineapple, mango and such go well.)
heat up the chocolate slowly with a bit of the cream. slowly is the key... add cream till the consistency is as you like it...
enjoy
disclaimer.... this will add lots of pounds but tastes divine!!!!!!!

I've got this recipe for Toblerone fondue

1/2 cup (1/8l) heavy cream
3x100g Toblerone bar
1 tblsp Cognac, rum or milk

Warm cream in small pan
Break chocolate into pieces, add to cream stir until melted
Thin slightly with cognac, being careful not to ignite !

Pour into fondue pot over flame. Serve with white bread or cake cubes, pieces of pear or apples, banana slices, cherries, mandarin segments or grapes.
