Apart from the obvious things that just plain stink, what common everyday smells can you not stand? I hate the smell of bleach. My OH loves the stuff and covers the house in it but the smell makes me want to vom. Bit of a random one but just a light hearted thread. So what smell do you hate?

Weed. There was a house near where I used to live, and they must have been smoking all day every day. I had to pass it to and from work. Horrible.

Coffee. Makes me fat.

Mushroom soup. Or mushrooms being fried.

Tubbyinthehottub · 24/12/2016 07:24

Tubbyinthehottub · 24/12/2016 07:24

Yes to mushrooms, especially being fried

P1nkP0ppy · 24/12/2016 07:28

Petrol, Lynx products, Poison perfume.

Kirstyinnorway · 24/12/2016 07:30

Yes to mince cooking! I always think - how am I going to eat that?! Confused but then when it's cooked through and ingredients are added, it looks and tastes delish!

lorelairoryemily · 24/12/2016 07:32

Think its dkny light blue. Can still induce am inward bawk. Same for lamb cooking and when someone has a bad tooth and their breath has that 'smell'.

For different reasons my dns breath when she isnt well. Smells just like nail polish remover. That just makes me feel sorry for her bless!

Gardenbirdy · 24/12/2016 07:48

Mushrooms bring fried.

Thought I was pregnant the first time it happened, turns out no, I just really really hate that smell. Vom.

pishedoff · 24/12/2016 07:51

Subway - the sandwich place

SmellyChristmasCandles · 24/12/2016 09:19

Bananas
Hyacinths

There are others, but they tend to be stale smells that most people don't like, such as the lingering smell of certain foods after cooking.
Certain people always send me hyacinths at Christmas despite me telling them that the smell makes me feel ill. They go straight outside. Everybody else here loves bananas but again, the smell turns my stomach and I try not to be around when dh/dcs eat them.

NotCitrus · 24/12/2016 09:24

Vinegar.
Deep fat frying.
Cats.

NecklessMumster · 24/12/2016 10:40

Oh, I love d and g light blue!

80sMum · 24/12/2016 10:49

I can't abide the sickly, fake smells emitted from scented candles, diffusers, pot pourri and the like. I also can't stand the smell of petrol, oil-based paints and varnishes and other solvents like white spirit. They give me an almost instant headache.

80sMum · 24/12/2016 10:49

Forgot to mention cigarette smoke! That's probably the worst one!

MarvinKMooney · 24/12/2016 10:54

Lush here too.
Fake vanilla
Peanuts (I have to hold my breath or leave the room when dh makes his way through a bowlful.)
Wet dog
