Dye run in wash - any ideas ?

Just done a mixed wash and mistakenly put new cheap red shorts in with other coloureds. Not too bad overall but collar of a ds' rugby shirt gone pink, also white bits on another of ds' tops. Have soaked in Ace and rewashed but to no avail. Currently out in the sunshine in the hope of natural bleach effect but any other ideas welcome.

I'll let you know! I've done something similar with a load of DD's pink and white summer stuff. A piece of black underwear sneaked in and everythings gone a manky grey. I bleached everything I could, but I've just used Dylon colur run remover on the non bleachable items. Its in the machine as we speak (type whatever) but I'll let you know the results!

No idea what to suggest but looking on the bright side you'll never make the same mistake again .
I once put a cheap red t-shirt in the wash with DH work shirts (which so happen to be expensive and most of them white). Nothing brought them back to their original state and Dh concluded I've washed hundreds of punds literarly down the drain! Haven't ruined anything since then.

there is a product you can buy (i got it in tesco) which really works! can't remember what it is called "colour run" or somethinmg like that. with the washing powder etc in tesco

tommy sounds good but I'm in Switzerland !! Ironic as we used to live 2 mins from 24 hr Tesco and ,boy, do we miss it. Might be able to get equivalent over here though, might it be a Dr Beckmann one ?

go to the chemist or the cobblers where they sell all the fabric dyes and have a look there for colour run remover or theres something you can buy in asda that you put in with old grey stuff etc and it turns it white again. could give that a try? (it does work on grey stuff, ive tried it...not sure about colour runs though)

Dylon one worked pretty well, but thats probably not very helpful now!!

I think I've used colour run (or whatever its called) before and it's pretty good. Lakeland also sell something called a "magic cloth" or similar which you pop in the wash and it attracts all the loose dye in your wash - absolutely brilliant.
