Hello I just need any advice please
I am 2 months late on my period.. I have been to the doctors and had 5 tubes of blood taken and they have all come back fine- expect one of my hormone levels were high which the doctor told me is nothing to worry about

He told me my period would come on its own accord- but when your ttc it is a very annoying time with AF doesn't arrive

Is there any ways to kick start it off
I have googled it and have ate oranges, drunk tea had a hot water bottle etc etc just any other ways?

No worries :)

Yeah it just is winding me up :( he said they won't scan me because I'm not classed like as abnormal with my periods untill 6 months :(
I wish I knew what was going on ! I don't think it's anything bad or worrying as they would of sent me for a scan ASAP wouldn't they!
But I think for piece of mind.. I might try that and see what they say!? But would I have to get an appointment for that from my doctor first?...
I guess I'll carry on taking tests untill AF? Xx

Google parsley tea. I used to use it when I had long times between periods due to pcos and it made me come on and relieved my pmt. not sure if safe when ttc, but it is literally parsley brewed in hot water.

you won't get a period til 10 to 16 days after ovulating, if ov is late then so are you. stress can delay it further - def get ov kits so you can test for when its happening and keep records then it helps remove the stress when you can see a pattern and know whats happening

Will I still ovulate when I don't have a period though?

How long have you been TTC?

Alicejj8x · 22/11/2016 12:43

Well I would say since my last period so September this year.
We had a mmc in march and I came off the pill December. 21st 2015 and literally got pregnant in January without even knowing till 10 1/2 weeks in!! And last the baby middle of March... so I got pregnant pretty quickly after stopping the pill- then from may 20th-September 5th I didn't have a period then on the 6th I got my first period since the mmc as I bleed for a while when I mc about. 6 weeks xx

Right, but if you came off the pill in December last year, then you'll have been trying unsuccessfully for a year by the end of December this year. So you could push for investigation on the basis of that. Don't just wait six months. That would be fine advice if you were not TTC.

That's very true!! Doctors are so slow these days at wanting anyone to go for tests aren't they! I shall ring them
This morning and see what they say. Thankyou very much you've been very helpful :)
Also I've been reading and I didn't think possible but is it true you can ovulate without having a period as all the sites I've read stuff on say yes and they haven't had a period for 2 years but have successfully had a child?. I always thought periods & ovulation came hand in hand? Xx

I suppose so, it would be hormones based I suppose. You can have anovulatory cycles so it makes sense it could also happen the other way around. Your period is caused by a drop in progesterone levels, so if something is preventing the progesterone from dropping then you wouldn't have a period, I suppose. I don't know what would cause that.

Alicejj8x · 24/11/2016 20:47

Yeah I've heard the tablet regulates your menstrual cycle and helps with balancing hormones so we're see ! I'll let you know how. Get on xxx

Ovulation causes a period so technically you after pregnancy you can ovulate and immediately get pregnant so no period. I think if you ovulate you will have a period 2 weeks later so no period and no pregnancy = no ovulation.
I think you should try a different GP as you are TTC

Alicejj8x · 24/11/2016 21:31

Yeah I think I'll see how these tablets go and if nothing occurs I'll be heading bsck demanding something to be done or something to be given to me. I really don't want to go back on the pill to regulate my periods though
