For those with half-term this week - what are your plans?

Normally I'd be halfway to dd's school by this time of the morning, but as it's halfterm, instead I'm sitting at my desk, in my pjs, with a steaming cup of coffee...lovely!

For halfterm, we're sticking close to home, but have some fun things planned which include an outing to see 'Charlotte's Web', a matinee performance of the 'Lion King' with 3 of dd's friends followed by supper out (dd's birthday activity), and a one off art class for dd. In between, there will be lots of relaxing, hanging out, and mooching around.

What are your plans?

No firm plans yet as ds1 has been ill over the weekend - will wait to see how he is.

day out with friends today, teddy bears tea party tomorrow, visit grandparents on wed, chill thurs (baking??) cinema fri and swimming saturday. well thats MY plan anyway but of course it won't happen like that as one (dd) is already being a bit stroppy this morning and it's only 8.30! my rule of bad behaviour= no treats could lead to a very quiet week.

i am a teacher so loving my forst day off with my 5.5month old ds! have only been back at work for 6 weeks and hate leaving ds at home so i am making the most of spending as much time with him as i can!

ALthough its also nice to it with a lovely brew whilst on mn while he naps!

LoveMyGirls · 12/02/2007 08:29

I'm ill and my car is still in the garage so not doing as much as i hoped, i've taken the day off work sick

Hopefully tomorrow toddler group and then my mum is taking dd1 out in the afternoon.
wed soft play
thu not sure maybe toddlers then a chilled afternoon
will have to wait and see.

Misc - can i reccomend keeping the treats (something for dd to look forward to and stop you both getting bored and her misbehaving even more) and just put her to bed an hour early for bad behaviour this works a treat with my dd1 who is 7?

lmg but then she would be in bed by 4pm!

he he only joking, I'm sure she will be an angel as she mostly is anyway all I meant is if we are out at playcentre etc and she has a paddy then she will be getting taken home, thats not too bad is it?

Today a trip to the rockpools (who cares about the rain?) with a friend and her two children. Have promised the kids ice-cream and doughnuts and fish and chips so I think that's pretty much all the essential food groups covered !!!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow DD having a friend over, and lots of indoor playing in their rooms I hope. They have so much stuff they never really get time to play with so they're looking forward to just rummaging I think.

Rest of the week I'm working (boo) so DH is in charge. So that'll be watching tv then!

I am looking forward to a lovely lazy week, some time off from school runs, swimming lessons, beavers, ballet, play-dates etc etc...

Today we shall be mainly mooching - still in pj's. Will do some tidying and then heading into town for lunch, optician appointment for ds and to buy ds some trainers.

Tomorrow we are meeting two of my friends and their dc's, hopefully they will all play nicely (friends' dc are same age as my ds, my dd is lots younger but they should include her I hope)

Wednesday dentist for me and dc (eek) Not sure about rest of the day yet.

Thursday and Friday dh is off work, so are hoping to go to local large tropical swimming lagoon type place (with rapids, slides etc) and we need to go to Ikea to plan/order our new kitchen.
