As the exchange rate is so good I should take advantage of this and get him to go shopping - all I can think of so far is Clinique stuff and Gap (for me and the kids). Any other ideas??

He is away over half term so going to have a great week!!

TIA

You can still buy Reese's Peanut Butter Cups in the UK, and Nutrageous.

You cannot however get:
Butterfingers
Tylenol
Peppermint Patties

And I am sure if I think long enough my stomach will remember other delicious items of junk! (In Friendlies ice cream cafe I used to get Reese's Pieces in ice cream with big scoops of peanut butter. I highly recommend in times of great need a couple of scoops of vanilla and chocolate ice cream with some peanut butter added in.)

paulaplumpbottom · 09/02/2007 20:22

I can get peppermint patties here

PrincessPeaHead · 09/02/2007 21:43

yes but you can't get MINI reeses peanut butter cups here, which is The Important Thing. They are like teeny tiny mini cupcakes with a much better chocolate to peanut butter ratio than the normal ones.

He brought back Reeses pieces and the peanut butter cups last year - but that was it!

He is hoping to bring back a laptop if he can find one but not found anything yet - went shopping yesterday and bought some clothes for the kids and himself and some Clinique stuff for me - some stuff I had asked for and some other stuff too so sounds good. That will probably do me but thanks for all the ideas. He has to make up for being away on Valentines Day (not that we would normally exchange gifts!).

OMG, I don't know even know where to begin.

Niketown would be on my list.
Fat free Kraft mayo
Twizzlers
Coach handbag (and matching coach belt)
MarshallFields (Macy's now ) Frango mints
Old Navy clothes (for kids)

Oh jeez, there are so many things going through my head I can't think straight.

I'm sure these are all on here somewhere, but anyway:

Downy Simple Pleasures Vanilla and Lavender tumble drier sheets

Hersheys Symphony chocolate

Victoria's Secret undies

Old Navy Kids' clothes

Something from Abercrombie & Fitch

Yummy stuff from Bath & Body Works

Pepperidge Farm Goldfish snacks (crackers)

Godiva Cocoa (Milk chocolate or Mocha)

Target sell everything and is really cheap (but FAR better than Wal Mart)

Oh, I could go on and on and on but I won't...(my Mum & Dad spend half the year living in the USA and I drive them mad with my shopping lists. Going back in July, though to stock up for myself!)

GrumpyOldHorsewoman · 12/02/2007 17:26

Dr Peahead, I beg to differ.

IMO, the chocolate - Peanut butter ratio in the standard sized cups is far preferable - the PB has such lovely, nutty, dry texture which heats up in your mouth when you nibble on it. Mmmmmm. Drool, drool

eleusis · 12/02/2007 17:34

Yeah, what is better ration? Is that more peanut butter or more chicolate. (might have to go to Bluewater to get some now)

twelveyeargap · 12/02/2007 17:40

I think Hershey's has an after-taste like Parmesan cheese... Is that just me?

You can buy Oreos here. I would ask for cinnamon gum and fruit flavoured gum. And a pair of Manolo Blahniks. Not sure I'd get the latter...

eleusis · 12/02/2007 17:45

Ok, if you are going to get the hershey bar (which all brits seem to hate) then you have to get the graham crackers and marchmallows and make s'mores. (and invite me over to show you how to eat them properly)

twelveyeargap · 12/02/2007 17:47

Mmm, s'mores. Aren't graham crackers a bit like digestives? I've done the digestive/ marshmallow thing. Luvley.

purpleprincess · 12/02/2007 19:40

Ok everyone - time out! (as they say) - he is leaving on Wednesday and doesnt really have any more time to shop - apart from at the airport. but i'll bear all your suggestions in mind for next time or if I ever get to go.....

Thanks again.

Try skyco.uk.com
You can get loads of the things y'all have mentioned from there, and quite reasonably priced IMO. I love it!
