DH and I are going to london for a day out next Saturday (without DS yippee!). We used to live there so have 'done' quite a lot of the usual touristy things. We don't want to spend too much dosh but would like to do / see something that we haven't already seen/done. Any tips?

Hmm so what have you done lots of that you don't want to repeat? Whereabouts did you used to live? And where abouts are you staying?

Have you done the London Eye? Then you could walk along the south bank?

Notting Hill?

Colubia Rd Market on Sunday?

Greenwich market?

What do like doing, what are you into?

Go to a cool bar in Hoxton and onto a club on Saturday night.

Tea at the Wolsley (Picadilly) or the Waldorf is a nice thing to do inbetween activities. Its about £20-30 a head I think (dependent on whether you have a glass of bubbly).

Borough Market is wick too

Or Tea at the Lanesborough or Fortnums. They do a wicked welsh rarebit and toast there.

Do a pub crawl round Hoxton?

Brick Lane - I know a FAB authentic Mexican bar and restaurant - Green & red, will tell you more if you need

Comedy clubs

Thaks guys, but we have done practically all of the things you've mentioned (I've lived in London all my life), and any eve things are out as we are only in town for the day. The pub crawl round Hoxton sounds interesting though... any recommedations?

I was out in Howton the other night and we went to the TeaBar, will see if I can google something on it.

Oh and we started at Howton Square and went to Blue which used to be a club but is now a bar and then had Thai a few doors down at Yello.

Tea Bar
56 Shoreditch High Street, E1 0871 223 5487
An art gallery, living space and bar, the Tea Building is a concept that works. The Tea Bar is a case in point ? hosting the new night Family plus superfun cross-dressing bingo, the gay fashion crowd just can?t get enough of disco hits.

What didn't you do in London that you always wanted to do if you lived there and have done all the things suggested? There must have been something you didn't do or haven't been to or want to repeat.
