when i was yoinger i really really suffred badly with hayfever... (always have been and still am allergic to dust / dustmites)

i had an ioniser in my room to take all the pollen / dust out of the air and it really made such a difference.

I started sleeping much better straight away

oh goody, thats good to hear.

i got one for the ds's room (combined with an essential oil warmer) to help them breathe easier at night and i think they seem to have slept really well since... and woken up less congested and snotty (we've had a run of chickenpox and viruses here at casa nappies).

it did occur to me that it could all be hairy fairy nonsense tho, so i thought 'who better to ask than the vipers pit of knowledge and wisdom. and wierdos. who, collectively, know Everything.'

and one of you even answered!! ta, nannyL

Nappiesgalore - I am after one of these for my dd's room. Where did you get yours, what type do you have??

NannyL · 08/02/2007 11:35

bewaere tho... it makes everything around it BLACK

i ended up resting mine on a pice of A4 paper to save the shelf, but in the end, the shelf was still balcker around the edge of the paper.

I personally wouldnt put one in a babies room, as i think they would be more likely to react to dust etc later on as they havant been exposed to it...

but when i was younger and pretty much debilitated for months at a time by hayfever, and i had tried everything else, hayfever medication, dmap dusting daily, windows closed, vaseline in nostrils, then it really did make a huge difference.

ah! good point nannyL... am a great believer in building up immune systems (which is lucky really as my housekeeping skills leave a lot to be desired!!) so will only use it when they are ill and need a boost. thanks for making that point!

PGweeG -i got mine from... hang on. will find a link
