Rural area in Scotland. Advertised on Gumtree and in local paper but to no avail.

What about the Lady magazine (if it still exists?) Seem to remember it specialised in that kind of thing...

How about contacting crossroads to see if there is anyone near your area?

What about the Church?

Have a look at greataupair.com (I think that is the website...) Although it's obviously for au pairs, one of the questions which the a/p's have to answer is whether they would do carework and there seem to be a few who are willing to do so. Can't think of anything else.

Near Inverness.
I think the Lady is mainly residential and mainly southern.
Don't necessarily want old folks. By "companion" I mean someone who is happy to sit and chat, go to concerts etc, as well as do shopping, cook etc. It's only part time but proving very very difficult.
Your suggestions are v helpful. I know GreatAupair.com but hadn't thought of that.

Keep 'em coming... and thanks!
