Apart from willpower is there anything that you used and found it really helped?
I know you can get patches etc from the dr, but i just wanted to see if there was anything else that you used and felt helped loads?

I'm so disappointed with myself, i gave up from the second i found out i was pg, then 5 months after DS was born i started again (stupid i know).

The Easy Way to Stop Smoking by Allan Carr

I gave up 8 years ago and it was the easiest thing I have ever done. I was a committed 20 a day girl before that.

Best money I ever spent on that book, reccomend to 5 peole all of whom stopped smoking too.

Go and see your doctor. I did, and he recommended a "smoking cessation counsellor" which sounds really naff, but I got myself booked on a course with five or six other people. It was really helpful, and I gave up just before Christmas. Have smoked for 26 years so was really apprehensive about the whole giving up thing. Apart from a bit of a blip on boxing day (but my mum's enough to drive anybody to the Rothmans!!) I haven't had a cigarette since November. I really don't think I could have done it on my own. Good luck.
