Reading material for a bright 7 yr old

I have a v. bright dd age 7 (tomorrow) who is currently finishing the 5th Harry Potter (was a bit unsure about introducing her to HP but it has greatly increased her vocab and her creative writing has gone up a peg- and she loved them!). She loves reading and I'm on the lookout for good books for her. Not sure about going down the Jacqueline Wilson route, as I say, she is 7 tomorrow so still very young (and quite innocent) - but I do want to stimulate her imagination. Any suggestions?

Loved the ballet books, and famous five! Am outraded that my mother gave all these away about ten years ago. I will now have to rebuy them all for DD,6 but she is not ready for them yet.

My dd aged 7 has read all of the Secret Unicorn books and loved them, plus they are so easy for her to read to herself. My dd tends to read one "worthy" book and then one not so worthy book for light relief, taking it in turns.(Although I would never say this to her). A bit like the way I like to read books, actually. The unicorn books were some of the ones she chose herself in Ottakars, from reading what she calls the "blurb" on the back. CS Lewis' LW & W and Magician's Nephew another great favourite and the Famous Five series. Dh and myself also read books to her: I am reading the Hobbit to her at the moment.

Sorry, also wanted to say that some (but not all) of Jacqueline Wilson's are ok for this age, the 2 or 3 dd has read, she has absolutely loved and could hardly put down.
