What areas does it have on it to fill in ?
Look at the advert & pick out key words - make sure that you highlight the key words when you fill in t he form

Usually has phrases like 'working as part of a team' so you make sure you inlude something about how you 'enjoy working with others in a team'

(Im a TA - so feel free to ask away!)

for your nursery stuff, a phrase like 'experience working with children'

Maybe 'would like to broaden my knowledge by undertaking suitable training courses if appropriate'

Whizzz · 12/01/2007 15:24

so with your nursery stuff - you have experience working with young children & you have computer skills (Mumsnet !!)

Words like 'enthusiastic' are good or using you skills and experience to promote and encourage learning

I have previously worked with younger children and really enjoyed the experience. I feel that this experience, together with my enthusiasm and drive would benefit the school in this role ???

Whizzz · 12/01/2007 15:30

and then add the 'to promote and encourage learning ' bit !

I'm a TA in a Secondary school which seems to be a very different role than a primary TA. I did help in DSs school in year 4/5/6 before getting the high school job though.
I did a huge career swap last year to do this & although the pay is poor, its a nice job (when the kids behave!). Every day is different, the kids have a huge range of 'issues' and its good finding soemthing that works for that child & feeling that you are actually doing something to support the child in learning something. (Big kids are a bit scary though )

Well best of luck. Let us know how you get on
There are a few LSA / TAs on here I think. I got some good advice on here when I decided to make the leap !
