Went to mcdonalds earlier..at the till there was a thing complaining to mananger about the fact that he forgot the fries she had ordered..she was very loud and aggressive...then she started on the customers myself included...what do you think you're looking at you cow...went on and on...I couldn't believe this completely unprovoked attack! She was with two other chav type boys...i just walked away and we left soon after.
I was horrified..manager did not intervene to stop the abuse..he didn't look like he could cope with the situation.
I left there feeling quite affected...sad ..if my children had heard this they would have been very upset to see their mother being attacked like this.
Just felt very upset....never experienced anything like it. Has anyone else?

I have seen this loads of times, to some people this is perfectly normal and will do this in front of there kids. I work in a customer facing job and have had alsorts of arses talking complete bollocks to me. One woman was going on about how crap something was and how dissapointed her child was, the child had been fine until she started shouting at me, when I tried to speak to the child she told me not to speak to her F**ing child as it was upsetting her, no I think her mum shouting and swearing at everyone did that. I suggested she put her complaint in writing and let her child enjoy the rest of her day. You can guess how that went down.

Some people just think people pay more attention to your complaint the louader you shout, most of the time it is if fact dealt better if it is put in writing to a higher up person rather than the poor sod on the desk/ till or other frontline position.

Resolving differences without raising your voice or resorting to violence is quite a sophisticated social skill (in this country anyway.) If you parents can't switch off their own feelings and empathise with others for one minute, you don't really stand a chance.
Emotional illiteracy is a big blocker to education too as you are too busy arguing to learn anything.

I always tell myself, if your life is so bad that you feel the need to go off on someone being paid crap to put up with your crap, then you actually have my sympathy because it must be a really bad life to act like that. You are right to feel sad because this was obviously a very sad and angry person. My sympathies go to the manager.

i agree christie. feel v sorry for people whos lives are so steeped in crap thats all they can give out.
and growing up where i did, yes; i have seen behaviour like that. alot of it and a damn sight worse too. is unfortunately 'normal' life for a LOT of people.

southeastastra · 30/12/2006 21:29

the manager was probably intimidated by her it's the world we live in unfortunately

SantasFattymumma · 30/12/2006 21:34

thats what you get for eating macdonalds

SantasFattymumma · 30/12/2006 21:36

pmsl sorry i genuinly dont mean that but just had to get it in before Moondog comes in and says it lol

she probably had her fries all alomg and just wanteda freebie.

Personally i would have told her that if she continued like that she would probably enjoy her meal better from the troff out back like all the other pigs....but then im huge and scarey so i get away with being a bit larey to scum like that

aliceband · 30/12/2006 21:38

ooh by blood boiled when a woman, completely unprovoked in the shop horrible to her cowardly boy, imo, said i dont want you running around the shop like some children, glaring at me, she was younger than me ffs, and horrible looking.

lemonysnickett · 02/01/2007 14:02

I agree ...serves me right for going to mcdonalds in the first place. It's true that she probably has a very sad life ....i don't usually take these sort of things personally...but for some reason this time really got to me...I actually telephoned Mcdonalds and the manager said he had called the police in about her and..after we had left she threw food on him when he took her to one side to deal with the situation....poor man.

Just imagine what the police have to deal with day in and day out.

Their is no excuse for this type of behaviour crap up bringing or not. Some people are just scum.

NOELallie · 02/01/2007 14:35

No. No excuse flutterbee - it really isn't difficult to behave in a reasonable fashion. If you aren't happy about something it is perfectly possible to approach the matter in a civilised manner... and smile - and guess what? You normally get better service that way.

Some people shouldn't really be let out without a responsible adult.
