STV Malawi Christmas Appeal - mears wants you to help

appeal here

I recently went to Malawi and visited Bottom Hospital. Please 'google' Bottom hospital and you will see why it needs help.

Scotland has strong link with Malawi and money is being raised to rebuild the hospital.

A great Christmas present would be for mumsnetters to help desparate mothers in Botton Hospital.

They have nothing. No sheets on the beds. The women bring in a black garbage bag and a piece of cloth to lie on to give birth. They then wash their bag and cloth in the filthy showers afterwards. I can reassure you that every penny is going to rebuild the hospital.

Please give anything you can.

not really mears... a slight misunderstanding on my part , which led to me jumping in with both feet and then retracting in full my post and offering an apology......!! twas actually terribly civil by mnet argument standards...all done and dusted in about 5 posts !!

moondog · 17/12/2006 18:44

Oh

Lulu once took something I said the wrong way.

Can't think why.
Am a very peacable person as you well know Mears.

What a lovely display of maturity

Now to business. How can I get this worthy cause noticed more. Have put it into the midst a couple of other threads and not a comment was made!

Started 2 other threads that have gained minimal interest. I thought this would strike a cord with mothers and mothers to be.

Tis only a temporary thawing of hostilities in manner of Germans and Tommines having a kickaround on Christmas Day in FWW.

Not sure Mears.....bigger louder thread titles????

lulumama · 17/12/2006 18:52

post it in birth, pregnancy, ante natal , post natal and chat.

lulumama · 17/12/2006 18:53

SnafuOutOfHiding · 17/12/2006 18:56

Have put link on student midwives site - they're all broke but, hey, maybe I can squeeze a few quid out of 'em!

mears · 17/12/2006 18:59

Have contacted mumsnet - they have kindly said they will put in on the Talk homepage but I am not sure that I sent info in correct format.
