Dad at home - advice please

My dh is considering giving up work to look after our ds (1 year) full time. Advice needed please, on web-sites with parenting advice like this one (but aimed at dads -= does such a thing exist???) and supportive playgroups/toddler clubs etc he could attend in Crouch End/Highgate or close by in N London. Any ideas gratefully received! It's going to be a big change both for dh and ds, and they'll both need some structure to their day!
Thanks!

I think Tom who posts here occasionally has a site: Fathersdirect. Never looked at it but it might help?

The very wonderful BearintheBigBlueHouse who posts here, is great on this. Have a look through the 'going back to work/childcare' threads for a conversation on this a while ago.

freewheeler, I live in Finsbury park and have met mums and dads from crouch end at the Jamboree, which is just inside the gate at finsbury park off 7 sisters rd, a free drop-in 10.30-12 and 1.30-3 every weekday (I think it may be closed weds afternoons) which has both inside and outdoor activities, and you can grab a cup of tea

I'm sure there are plenty of other activities up in crouch end/highgate too

Cheers MotherInferior - hearing that buoys me up after the recent car seat falling out and the insanity allegation for being an E3 proponent.

Freewheeler - likewise, he can contact me anytime if he likes. Also try Homedad for a SAHD site with discussion boards. OK for what it is, but never as much useful inof about bringing up baby as there is on this site. I guess that's down to its smaller constituency. They also organise meet-ups and groups where there is a critical mass, and someone will be happy advise on what goes on in your area if he (or you) posts on the Discussion Board.

Best move he'll ever make IMHO.

HTH, Bear

Thanks to all for all these suggestions - we'll definitely follow them up and I've already had a peep at the 2 websites suggested and they look excellent! All very encouraging - dh has never quite got over the shock of being excluded from the post-natal classes I attended by a well-meaning health visitor, but it sounds like there's a lot for a SAHD out there, if you know where to look!
