He has homework when he gets home. Oh joy.
Ds2 is playing on the PS3. I suppose I should go and parent him for a bit :)
I'm almost done my Xmas shopping! Yay! Got to pick up some bits I've ordered from next tomorrow but after that I've only got sil (won't discuss Xmas til second week in December) and Dhs aunt and uncle (the couple who have everything) still to do.
This makes me very happy.
Dh and I aren't buying gifts for each other this year...we are going out for the day instead!
I have My cards but haven't written them yet.
Xmas eve grocery shopping slot booked.
I'm hosting on Boxing Day but just a buffet so I might just buy loads of heat up party food and booze.
I really should go and see how ds2 is.....

Had quite a productive day so far, bought shoes, checked the air preassure in the tyres, vacuumed. Now I'm on the couch watching trashy TV, very relaxing. Thinking of decluttering some more later, do you also have piles of stuff lying around that you really don't know what to do with?

I am now back in bed for a nap
Dh is helping ds1 with maths hw so I've vacated the area.
His team won so he is happy
Had a bath and sorted loads of washing.
I hate that I have to wash every bloody item of clothing after a bonfire...even down to gloves and hats. Grr

Did go to fireworks. Lots of people I knew. Had the best time.
Bad day at home today though, ds1 has been so rude this week that Dh refused to take him to his judo competition. Plus ds2 being a pain and fighting between ds's. No one is talking to anyone!!

Vaguely caught up and delighted to announce I will be perfectly healthy to partake in Aramis Sunday and Monday. It will be long and drawn out once we have had our catch up shag that will be fast and furious.

Afternoon all!

Usual Comtess weekend of ferrying people to sports events/training etcetera etcetera. Went to a fab fireworks and bonfire at Rugby which was v sociable and caught up with lots of people I hadn't seen for ages. Then last night went to fireworks at Cricket club again v sociable and caught up with lots of friends. However, weekend has gone too fast, drowning in laundry and kit and it's nearly dark again! Argh. Bloody autumn.

Not going to be able to Piñon I'm afraid due to Mr C and I watching Homeland and that's literally the only time all week I sit and watch the TV. So I think i will have to do a solo rewatch nearer new series time. Which feels like it might be the next century to be fair.

Comtess!!!!!! high-fives fellow bat-wench They're noisey little buggers mind aren't they? They chatter away behind the cladding all day, and when they were in the roof above our bedroom I swear they put on hobnail boots for a party at about 3am every night. Still, v. cute. I had to re-launch one once - stood around outside like the statue of liberty waiting for it to launch itself off my hand.

Also like the noisey owls. We had some youngsters this year which just sounded like they had hiccups.

Less pleasantly we have 'something(s)' in the walls scrabbling about... probably just Mice Or bats. Or some other sod eating the insulation out to make themselves a nice cosy home...

Afternoon, quick catch-up before cracking on with some jobs, don't want to miss the rewatch. 9.30 will be good for me hopefully.

Thank you flopsy - can I run around with a big gun? A bazooka looks fun. Or maybe a flamethrower? Khaki is one of my favourite colours - matches my eyes you see.

I would like the noisy owls helen, but this one is more of a night owl than me & doesn't start up until bedtime, whne really there's plenty of darkness before then . We have bats too, but not in the house fortunately - they are so cute flying round the garden & it makes me happy to think of all the bugs they are eating.

Sat watching football. Amid tonnes of washing. Haven't even ordered one Christmas present, unlike badders.

I'd get really stressed if I didn't have it all done by the end of Nov.
I think it stems from 1. Hating shopping. Actually, viscerally hating it. Have done 99% online and 2. Worrying I might have another health scare and end up with an emergency op in december like I did a couple of years ago.
Neither of these are rational but there you go.
Wish I knew what's happened to my period this month...I have sort of started eAch day and then...nothing.

Lovely fireworks from our lounge last night. Those big expensive ones, gorgeous. No idea whose they were, but I thank them for the free display.

Badders you're so organised. I haven't done anything towards Christmas yet, although I only have to buy for the DGC. I give the DC the money and they can please themselves. They prefer that. DH and I haven't bothered to buy for each other since the year I bought him an £80 jumper and it was half price on Boxing Day.

Will probably watch Pinon and squee along with you.
