God, Radley, how scary. Talk to the police about what charges you can press.

You're being a v good friend. Stay safe x x x

Hi i'm safe, we are both sleepy, and we've got a friend staying with us so we are all safe, dh is NOT happy at the fact that dd1 was hysterical and that he has tried to boot his way into our house.

I AM going to press charges. NO-ONE scares my child and gets away with it.

You could always check the situation with the police and then sleep with something hard under your bed - golf club, tennis racket. I would. So sorry that you and your friend are having to go through this. You're an amazing friend to have around.

mamama · 27/11/2006 02:38

Yes, please go to bed. You can't protect your family and friend if you are exhausted. Make sure the doors are locked and that you have the phone nearby. Try to get some sleep.

I'm sorry you've had such an awful night.

dingdongmerRADLEYonhigh · 27/11/2006 09:48

I managed to get a couple of hours sleep. I have got a crime no and the police are going to ring back for more details.

DD1 is ok, though a little bit shaken.

Is it worth pressing charges for criminal damages and if I do, do I do it via the police?

Oh goodness Radley, what an awful night you've had! I would definitely want to press charges - the police will tell you how to do that.

I keep the phone number for my local police station on my mobile phone so that I can access it when needed (and it has been) but that was definitelt a 999 call.

You friend is lucky to have you supporting her.

Hope all goes well for her and you.

UPDATE

I have reported it all to the police, they have rung and taken details, they are sending the scene of crime officers out to take pictures and swabs of blood on my windows etc and also of the damaged door.

They have advised me to keep windows and doors locked until the prat has been cautioned, which is no big deal as the doors are always locked when i'm in anyway.

DD1 is still quite frightened and keeps looking out for his car.

Only thing is, i'm stuck now and can't go out
