Another day, another pile o' shite.

Looks like I have to tell my boss today that I have applied for another job. (Company policy, internal application.) Not happy about this because she's not the sort of manager or person to take this very well imo. Basically she's been a balbreaking, humpy, PA and difficult to communicate with cow since Ive started and she is a big part of why I want to leave. Not that Im going to tell anyone that, obvs.

But if I dont get or take this job, Ill have to continue working with her and she'll know that I dislike the job enough to want to leave.

Well it's fuck all friday™ So tbh as little as possible!
Ds1 had left for school and ds2 is being picked up at 10am.
After that - well until Dh gets home - my time is my own.
I may do some ironing later (or I may not)
I am planning lots of trashy TV and eating cream cakes.
I may have a ripper street a thon

I'm up waiting for my shopping delivery. Then it's cinnamon buns for breakfast. Then some domestic stuff to do.

Madame that's really hard. My boss at my previous position made my life very uncomfortable when I was applying for jobs. She ignored me and only communicated through the assistant manager. I was so glad I got it and left. She felt I was leaving her with no one who could do a lot of the jobs needed. Shame she never appreciated me when I was there and took the piss with my work load , which is partly why I left. You'll get the job though I'm sure and be better off out of it.

For Fuck All Friday I offer you this (revisted)

I shall be working, getting two loads of washing through the machine, trying to tidy the house (it got to the stage of 'Oh that's not so bad now, won't take too long to finish' - so then got ignored for a week, and is ramping back up to 'public health hazard' status again. Well, not really, but that's how it feels.)

If I could do what I want... realistically (because there are no musketeers here and DH is still in recovery) I would either have a spa day giggling with a friend and havig lots of hot stone relaxing massages, or slobbing about in bed with a good book and my choice in music. Or even both.

Helen I like your ideas. I would get up and go for breakfast with my friend. Then a massage and pedicure. Then home to a clean bed with my lovely soft bedding and my book, crochet and a nice box of chocolates and I'd stay there then.

I've put the shopping away.

Ds2 has gone up to pils.
I have buckled and put one load of bedding on.
I now have til about 1pm til Dh is back.
Am watching new girl on catch up.
Might have a bath later.

Oh yes - add hot bubbly bath to the mix of FaFriday with a non-existant musketeer to provide the back run and other services

Does anyone know if you can give your old phone to your DC?
Can you get a payg SIM card or some such?

I think so - as long as the sim card is the same network (I think)
Disclaimer - I'm a bit clueless too, but I'm sure you can.

I'm pretty sure you can hand over your old phone, don't think you need to be on the same network either, just get a PAYG sim. I've done this with various phones, I do find it a nuisance that some saved numbers are on the sim card & others stored one the phone though. Last time I did this the 'copy all numbers to sim' thing it didn't work properly (may just be that I went from one very cheap to another though!), so just check all your numbers move with you.

Oh and check the voicemail short cut as on my current handset I cannot find a way to reset it. Again, that may just be because my current phone is so cheap.

We just got a new sim for the phone on the same network for DS to have my old phone.

I am due an upgrade in November and I promised ds1 my phone...will get a sim from Virgin. I'm pretty sure I can get one for about £7 per month?

My phone is licked to a network, that's why I mentioned it. Anyway

DH has just very usefully hung out the first load of washing I put on, so I went in to stick the next load on, and foudn the detergrent sitting on top of the machine. I'd forgotten to put it into the first load. ARGH. But Sod it, most has stayed on the line, apart from selected 'these really out to have a proper wash' items.
