Well, it's raining. Meeting my sis and nephews for a last naughty macdonalds of the summer (ha!) hols at 1.45 :)
Then I should go and see mum. Sigh.
She flies out tomorrow for 4 days. So I will get a break.
No idea what ds2 and I will so tomorrow. Think we may go and see ds2s friend. Then maybe out for lunch.
It's so annoying when the stagger the school start dates!

It's raining here too and I appear to have a cold

It is a pain indeed when they stagger starts. I'm back next Thursday, little DS the 7th and big DS the 9th!! Luckily I have a kind friend who will help. Enjoy your McDs bads

It will be nice to catch up with sis actually. We haven't really seen each other over the hols as she was away for 4 weeks and then working ft when she got back to cover hols at work, then I started work!

My siblings and I are very very different characters.
The cousin we went to see on Monday told me she thought I had been dropped down the chimney as I am so unlike mum and my sibs. I am very like my late dad. Both in looks and temperament! It's one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me actually. After his funeral a friend of my mums stopped me in the street and told me I was the most like him :)
My brother is more problematic. I love him, dint get me wrong, but he is twat of the highest order. He has done some pretty shitty things to me over the years, ditto my sister. And of course my mum either "doesn't remember" or completely denies theses things ever happened!
Sigh.

I'm just like my dad and I feel the same My mom says it when she's cross with me usually because I won't agree with her!! I do speak to my one brother who is nice but unavailable often. My other brother and I are NC and he's the difficult one, the 'can do no wrong' one. I'm glad you get to spend time with your sis and nephews. I really miss my nephews.

Ah yes. "Golden boy" syndrome. My brother is nearly 40 and is still treated like a child. My mum also favours his dd over my DC and nephews.
I'm sorry you don't see your nephews.
That's really sad :(

I've sort of resigned myself to it now. I see my friends children who I'm close too, but it would have been nice to be a proper auntie.
Anyway. Enough about me and my snot and glooms.

I'm on my second cuppa and am looking at the washing that needs putting away. You never know, it might make it up the stairs today

DH has gone away to the caravan for a few days with 3 golfing mates. Yay! I like to be alone. Except when I switch out the light at night.

I have no siblings, which is both a curse and a blessing. I always wanted an older brother.

I'm not going to get much done today but I've decided that's ok. I've got to stop feeling that I'm wasting time/not doing enough when actually I'm doing just fine.

Reading all the above makes me thankful that my parents were very even handed - one older sister & both treated fairly & we get on pretty well. Her DH is nice too, in fact now his working hours are shorter than hers he's the one I usually deal with to when it comes to getting us all together. I love it when all the children get together too (especially now when it's not so chaotic!)

This morning hasn't quite gone to plan...had to take car to garage as its bloody leaking again! Good news is they think they know why now.
So have had to go and get dhs car tank to take DC to macs.
