DD1 (nearly 5) did show a preference for either hand however i have noticed over the past few weeks that although she draws with her right hand, she writes with her left.

i havent said anything as if she is left-handed i dont want it to be an issue.

where can i do some research about left handedness etc....

My DD is left handed, she has been exclusively left handed since she was about 18 months old, she is 4 now. It doesn't make a difference tbh, although I do find that her handwriting looks awkward and uncomfortable when she's doing it.

DS1 is LH too

Both DH and I are RH

Both of my parents are/were LH

I'm left handed but neither logical nor creative, so where does that leave me??!

I'm left handed. TBH the best thing to do is fit in with a right-handed world. I use my numberpad a lot, because I work in payroll. I've trained my right hand to do the number work.

Our son, 5, has only just made up his mind to be RH (both DH and I are LH). He uses his left foot for football though!

Definitely recommend the anything lefthand website. Not only do they sell products, they're good with advice too. Sign up for their newsletter.

I'm left handed and so is DS. TBH I've never used specifically left-handed stuff, and use my right hand when using scissors etc.

As a child I learnt how to write without smudging the page - I turn the paper on it's side and write down the page instead of hoizontally. This works for me but people sometimes look at me funny when I turn something sideways to write on it! When I first became a teacher it took a while before my handwriting was ok on a whiteboard! Thank goodness for interactive whiteboards!
