So, we have passed our 100,000 posts of Musketeer-related musings & as befits such an achievement, we got our shout-out on Twitter from Jess Pope Grin Any lurkers out there, come on in & state your boffing order.

In the spirit of celebration, I am also imposing the rule that everywench's first post in here has to be accompanied by a pretty Musketeers pic. Don't let me down now mis wenchitas.

Moooornnning! I'm still sitting in bed refusing to move. DH has gone to run his football team. I had a really good night's sleep but it is rare for me, so yay!

I went to the Phoenix festival when I was 17. We camped and I fell in love, was with the guy for 7 years Blush.

Anyway, I've one thing to say here...STRAPS!!!!!

Is that a good sign then Flops? Has it helped or were you so knackered you slept anyway?

Enormouse · 27/06/2015 10:52

Morning,

No festivals at all for me. I am pissed off that the regular annual Christian rock festival is in my village. So I've been kept up till 2am by thumping bass and songs with lyrics about letting Christ build a bungalow in my heart. Oh and inexplicably, the bay city rollers are here. I thought they were dead. But alas they are not.

Though I have been to a lot of gigs and concerts, Muse, Radiohead, Franz Ferdinand, Manic Street Preachers, depeche mode.

Ooh wishing the best to welldog. Fingers crossed for puppies soon. If only so the poor thing will be more comfy.

BloodyElkFire · 27/06/2015 10:59

Yes please sparks I think it will help enormously (not) with the creative flow Smile

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 27/06/2015 11:10

Slept very late and came up in time for an early lunch Blush

Glad Letus, Issy and Chaise had a good time Smile

Arf at festival with tiny violin Letus Grin

Hmm, I never been to Spain MadameWink

I've never been to a festival but to concerts with U2, Green Day, Linkin Park, Nickelback and Dolly Parton Grin

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 27/06/2015 11:11

Oh, I almost forgot Backstreet Boys Grin

FancyFancy · 27/06/2015 11:12

Morning

MadamedeChevreuse · 27/06/2015 11:16

Oh mouse Flowers for christian rockers and bay city rollers. Shock

Can you really not persuade mrmouse and ils to move?

awww flops what a lovely festival true love story!

tbh I would feel utterly old and out of place at any festival now unless I was doing a "family festival" thing with DP and DS. And I don't think I would be able to hack camping at all now. Shuttle bus / b&b is much more appealing...

LaComtess · 27/06/2015 11:17

Morning wenches

busy sports day for us today so I'm essentially driving and spectating all day. Have wifi now, but later stranded in field without so much as a microbar of signal.

'Fucking me into next week' wonderful wonderful phraseology.

I've been to Reading, Leeds and Glasto. The loos were so awful at Reading I walked into town for the loo which was quite a long way and went into a hotel for a freshen up in the loos. A classic Comtess 'just stride past with confidence and no one will challenge you'. :-)

Hope Obs hasn't got a headache.
Laters wenchi

ILs have been very wise and gone away for the weekend. I can't say I blame them, the estate on which this festival in hosted also has helicopter tours over Co Antrim and ILs house is right next to the estate. So for the past few years, one weekend every June they have to listen to helicopters taking off and landing every 10 minutes.

But we're stuck looking after their poor bewildered dogs so can't go. We usually alternate going away at this time of year. This year is not our year.

Enormouse · 27/06/2015 11:50

Oh bloody hell, the mouselets are cranky because they were kept up by revellers and God pop or whatever it's called.

This is going to be a long weekend.

Flopsy28 · 27/06/2015 11:51

I think it was a combo of needing a good sleep and taking the best drugs Bea! It leaves me a bit drowsy hence why I'm still not dressed but I love a good sleep.

mouse, sympathy for the devil for the festival thingy...but you sound like you need to join letus and I in muso corner. It's over there in the back room off the bar. I've currently got Imagine Dragons on but feel free to bring some CDs #oldskool

Flopsy28 · 27/06/2015 11:52

P.s. Don't take the door to the left...that's liv's domain made that mistake before and had to use brain bleach from helen's supplies

Enormouse · 27/06/2015 11:56

I'm there flops

You think they'll take the message if I open all the windows and play 'enjoy the silence' loudly, in a not-at-all passive aggressive way.

letus could join in on the violin.

Enormouse · 27/06/2015 11:58

Or 'personal jesus'.

Where'd I put the depeche mode cds?

FancyFancy · 27/06/2015 12:00

If you put that on mouse, crank up the volume so I can hear it too please Grin, love that song

LiviaDrusillaAugusta · 27/06/2015 12:02

Baddz · 27/06/2015 13:35

I FUCKING LOVE DEPECHE MODE

Enormouse · 27/06/2015 13:43

I saw them at the globe in Stockholm (ww correct me if I've got that wrong) just after they released playing the angel.

They did not disappoint at all Grin. Though I really wish I could have seen them when Alan Wilder was part of the band.

LetUsPrey · 27/06/2015 13:44

Remember our first sight of Aramis?

Baddz · 27/06/2015 13:44
