How cold does it have to be...

Before pipes could freeze?

Any other explanations for why we suddenly have no water?

I think that at 2.5 degrees it is unlikely that the pipes are frozen - highly unlikely - OH disagrees.

Haven't got a clue where to inspect so sent him out in the cold to look for any obvious signs of major leakage!

Try checking your local water boards website, or give them a quick ring. I can't see how/why pipes would freeze at that temperature.

Can't freeze unless the temp reaches below zero.

Thanks

Still fun and games here - no water so still so we all have unbrushed teeth and dirty bodies - nice, especially since the boys weed their pyjamas last night.

Bit thirsty too, as it happens.

In all likelihood, the landlady has fiddled with the supply as she has access from the gite next door which they are renovating.

Have a neighbour round now trying to 'investigate'. Should get a get to other neighbour's semi-outdoor shower later today. Good but freezing.
