Grrr... I've got this A4 flyer designed in Microsoft Publisher and I want it to be A5 size - so I can print 2 on a sheet of A4. I can't get it to be A5!! I've tried page set up but it just prints out funny. Am I missing something really simple???

It's driving me bonkers - any help much appreciated.

please??!!! It's all Greensleeves' fault - I got all excited trying to think of ways she could earn some money and I've decided to do it myself (well, dp, 'cos she's at home). The flyer's advertising a looking after pets at people's houses service, so I can't ask anyone at work to help! Come on, once I've got them printed I'm going to be leaflet dropping for the next week or so and then we'll be rich, rich, rich!

I'll give it a try - but haven't got my copy of publisher available right now, thanks to DH's Mac obsession...

Anyway, when you say it prints out funny - what happens? Could it be a problem with your printer set up?

Hello!!! I'm pathetically grateful someone's responded! When I select A5, it just prints out a slightly smaller version - but not A5 and some of the text isn't aligned...

why can't I just copy and paste it to a Word document and then make it smaller??

Maybe I should just play around with it using a photocopier? (hadn't thought of that).

Weeeellllll, it could be your printer set up: if you look at your printer menu, under 'properties' you might find it has the option to set your print size to A5. That may (or more likely, may not) be the solution.

Actually, now I come to think of it, this is a bit of a red herring. You want to produce an A5 document so you can print 2 per A4 page, right? The last time I went around this loop I ended up just dividing an A4 document (turned into landscape using page setup) into 2 halves, and then simply drafted what I wanted to on one side, grouped it all and copied it onto the other side, so there were two documents sitting side by side on A4. Voila - no fiddling around with page set up and everything all ready to print on A4 stock, just needing a bit of guillotining.

Does that help?
